Yeah, but, he has two capable backups. We could have easily won two of the last four if we had a defense. Add the Green Bay game to the W column and we have 6 wins. The defense also lost the KC and Az games. That would give us 8 wins and we’d be in the thick of the playoff hunt.
D is clearly the problem with this team. Which is troubling because A. It’s regressing, rapidly and B. It’s supposed to be MP’s strength.
That’s, uh, not good.
If this defense was just mediocre like16-20ish we would have a good enough record for Stafford to come next week and still be in it.
I don’t think there is a coincidence between us getting eliminated and Stafford being IRed this week.
