Delay of game is a subjective call now?

Other than my own suggestion, lamentably ignored by the league, of a bikini football scrimmage at every halftime, I think this may be the best rule change proposal I have ever heard. Kudos.
Fan-interactive option, like AGT ? one zap for every 100 fan texts or something. Don’t want to kill these old geezerZebs, just sharpen them up.

Maybe a taser to replace the red flag ?

I bet you if The Lions did that shit, WE would get an immediate DOG call , our opponents oh “now” , “that’s subjective” on rather the officials FEEL like calling it I guess.

That explanation (if true) just may qualify as the most ridiculous crock of “soup” I believe I’ve ever heard in my 50 plus years as an NFL fan

I’m really hard pressed to one up this one

The play clock was always subjective. It’s nothing new. How many times have we heard how the ref needs to see zero, then look up, then look at the snap. It is inherently subjective and has been since the nfl had a play clock.

We got screwed by it. But this has happened many many times before in other games.

The lions held a team to having to make a 66 yard FG, I’d say any other day in the nfl we win. Just not this time.

LOL. This is average Sunday stuff for Lions fans.

Yup. Refs are pivotal in lions games all the time. They account for at least a couple of losses/year, if not more. It hasn’t mattered, because we’ve sucked, but it is going to start mattering, and I’d love to see it getting addressed sooner than later.

well it has cost us wins in some cases , various “calls” or rule-bending. last game , posters here were shouting delay of game for 5 minutes -yet there was no such call made and then we lost by a VERY lucky football bounce through the uprights which ended up making us lose THAT game to.

All I ask is if your going to have rules, make them equal and fair to ALL NFL teams, during each and every game. don’t change the rules on the fly.

The heck with the buzzer, I’d go straight to the shock collar, it doesn’t have to be dehabilitating (making up words, lol) just a semi gentle nudge

Better yet, have a flag machine attached to the clock. When the clock hits zero, a flag machine launches its flag. Hell, next time the Ravens come to town, you could program it to launch 25 flags at once in every corner of the stadium.
