Lucky Saints…
Saints and Steelers are gonna tank HARD this year.
Good for him.
The Saints should go after his bonus. That always ends well.
Frees up Cap, and its something that can roll over into next year
this legit might fix their cap situation if Loomis just
doesnt spend money.
And therein lies the problem.
Arch Manning is going back home next draft.
To me the ONLY way he comes out next year is if NO gets the 1st pick. And even then I doubt it.
Texas’ NIL budget is supposed to be in the mid to upper 30s next year. With the sort of NIL inflation we’re seeing that might be nearing $45m by 2026. If he balls out there are probably 8-9m reasons for him to stick around.
We’re very near the point in which the star QBs at a select few “Universities” will be taking pay cuts to go pro.
And if Pavia wins that lawsuit, they might be able to stay “in college” indefinitely.
Arch of course doesn’t need the money. Doesn’t mean he’d turn it down or anything, but his uncles famously stayed as long as they could in college, and Arch has already proven his loyalty by sticking around. I think they really value getting as much experience as possible in college.
Football pay+endorsement pay >NIL
Plus all thr media exposure and better food/facilities
.
Saints no longer SuperDome contenders
Plus it’s the 2nd nfl contract where guys really hit the jackpot. If you enter the draft at 21 you can hit nfl free agency by 25 and 26. But those NIL deals are only gonna get bigger.
I always get him and David Carr mixed up.
Smart. Make a few million and invest it well.
Might as well retire. He’s not doing anything, anyway.
That would be quite a full circle moment. Hopefully he has a better offensive line than his grandfather did.
NIL Sorority gash > real world wealthy person gash
$205 million in career earnings. Not bad for 0 career playoff wins.
