They were everywhere. And they were loud. And, as the players said, they made a difference.

They made themselves known, and we could feel it.ā
After the Lions forced a punt midway through the fourth, the chants began building, until the noise had overtaken the stadium.
Letās go, Lions ā¦ Letās go, Lions!ā
Think about this for a moment. Chiefs fans hadnāt left. The stadium was still full. It was a one-point game. Still, the chants took over the joint.
āItās outstanding to have fans that travel like that,ā Campbell said.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. ā Aidan Hutchinson took a turn. Amon-Ra St. Brown followed, running along the wall that separates the seats from the field, the fans from the players.
Each of them high-fived the fans as they leaned over the railing atop the wall, hollering, smiling. And then Jahmyr Gibbs said to heck with that and leapt over the wall and into a throng of joy, decked in blue.
The man who blocks for him, Penei Sewell, stood 20 yards away, grinning, having encouraged the rookie running back to take the leap and revel. Everywhere, players and fans celebrated, a normal scene for a team that wins a statement game at its home stadium.

This time on the road. Midweek, as Taylor Decker, noted, almost in disbelief. Then again, the offensive tackle has been around Allen Park for a while. Seven seasons, if youāre counting, making him the longest-tenured Lion in the locker room, and also making him something of a Lionsā fan whisperer.
āI mean, itās pretty incredible,ā he said of their presence, āespecially for a fan base thatās starving for a team to represent them the right way. (Arrowhead) is usually a sea of red.ā

āAbsolutely,ā said Decker, which is why so many of his teammates celebrated with all the fans who stayed to revel.

In the 3rd quarter Alex Anzalone turned to the crowd and did the āget loudā gesture with KC on offense. Thats when I was like āho-lee-shit they know we are here!ā
