OL, DL and Coaching all received an A, lots of B’s.

My only question is what did the bears do different in the second half from the first? They stacked the box and Detroit ran on them with success.
Second half we had 10 rushing attempts(think I read that this am) Gibbs with 2 touches Mont with 8 rushes. Why? What did the Bears do to cause the change in attitude? Not sure I give the offense(coach) an A depending on the reasons.

Not sure what happened but after TD drive in the 2nd half. They had 3 drives that amassed only 48 yards of offense. Something changed, can’t imagine the Bears defense just clicked at that moment.

Well we had Jamo ■■■■ up one of those drives and the last drive we went ultra conservative IMO just to run down the clock.

Better play calling there with some screens as they were selling out on run and think we win handily.

I think if Gibbs doesn’t fumble at the 4 then this is a complete and utter blow out.

Not bad to struggle a bit on offence as I think it helps Ben get re-focused. My concern is the MASH tent D

Well Jamo 15 yard penalty killed a drive somewhat and that drive ended in a missed fg. And the drive before Chicago last deive had 3rd and 1 and lost yards. Get that first on a run and game probably iced away with less stress.

But things like this happen in thr NFL. Just glad to get the W and fix up things. Nice to at least have 7 days before next game then 10 day break.

All true! You left out that Bates also missed a FG too!

But the thing is that in December and the playoffs on the way to the SB you can’t make 1 no less than 3 mistakes like that and expect to “get to the promised land!”

Gibbs also fumbled in the NFCG to start the half against SF last year (actually he had a mental lapse, forgot the right play and bumped into JG creating a fumble).

CHI actually made a great hit / play on that BUT hopefully that’s a reminder to Gibbs in case he forgot last year’s NFCG mistake to take care of the ball. Perhaps good time to get that reminder now vs a better quality opponent later so it doesn’t happen again!

It’s definitely on BJ to be more focused now imho especially when AG has been shall we say “over-performing” and covering for BJ “a bit” this year imho. Time to return the favor and be more efficient on O.

Its actually good to get that missed FG off the “to-do” list with no damage.

We be now won several games we wouldn’t have two yrs ago

Even when struggling we do it with grit!!

I thought the same thing yesterday. Glad it came then.

Agree…I left out Bates because I kinda blame Jamo for making that a more difficult kick.

And your correct on the mistakes and better to have them now then come playoffs. Also agree time for Ben to help AG and the D by long drives and putting points up each drive.

Impressive

This bears thanksgiving game reminded me too much of the 49ers championship game.

Both of those plays had devastating effects on momentum.
Our defense played their asses off! They had Chicago so totally flustered and befuddled at the end, Eberflaus lost his job the next day.
Williams was in a frenzy and lost. He had no idea what was happening.

1st drive was a TD.

2nd drive was a pass to Wright for 13 yards, then a Gibbs carry for 3 yards, then two incompletions to LaPorta and St Brown.

3rd drive the Jamo penalty turned 2nd and 7 at the Bears 29 into 2nd and 22 at the Bears 44. We didn’t get a 1st down and Bates missed the FG.

4th drive was a 3 and out with Montgomery carrying for 4, 5 and -1 yards and Campbell (I think rightly) elected to punt from our own 38.

There’s not a lot wrong with that I don’t think, in terms of playcalling. In fact I would have maybe tried passing the ball once on that last drive, because it is very predictable to try and run down the clock running the ball at the end of the game.
