I find it well worth the money to buy NFL+ and watch the condensed games that are like 30-40 minutes long without commercials and without the yap between plays. I don’t usually watch the Lions this way, but I get through multiple other games a week this way.
I think most teams do a pretty good job of having stuff to watch during the TV time outs. I go to games for the atmosphere… There’s nothing like watching David Montgomery running through a Seahawk DB, the sound it makes, hear 60k fans collectively go “ooooooooooo” and then cheer while he scampers for a 50 yard gain. Of course you can see better at home, and it’s cheaper, but the fan experience at the stadium is a special feeling.

Watching Barry run live at the Silverdome in the 90’s was the best. Must have seen at least 15 games in the silverdome. Miss it. Way louder than Ford Field.
No bathroom trips when Barry might get a carry. Aint missing that. I’d rather go in my pants. Haha

My bad… Sorry I keep forgetting those dvd’s at your house. I need to do better! ![]()

(Let’s try this again) I think there is market potential for sports bars to up their game by upgrading to the latest, high tech surround video and audio. Huge ass screen, hyper immersive experience, yada yada. Whatever it takes to replicate the experience of “being there”. Hell, I could see myself watching games at an IMAX theatre. I do love those blue slushies.
Still, all that aside, they sure as shit better get to the Super Bowl and win the damn thing.
Thanks, brother!
In my personal experience as someone who lives in Dallas its been cheaper to fly to Detroit and watch a game than it has been to watch the Lions in Dallas.
In years past absolutely. This year? Ooooof.
Dallas in Detroit STARTS at $400 upper deck.
$600 lower bowl
Philly in Dallas (dallas most expensive home game)is only $250 upper $500 lower
I’m waiting for AI to be used with smart TVs to determine if more than 4 people are watching a game it will black out unless you pay a “remote stadium” fee.
