My dad use to work 2nds and weekends a lot so i would record the games on my computer. Then video edit it down. Cutting out commercials and long stoppages
There are so many commercial breaks these days… It’s crazy. The one that gets me the most is when they kick a touchback with no return and then go back to commercials. Lol wtf man.
I’d agree with this. There are sports that you can’t replicate the enviornment of seeing a game live. Atmosphere, seeing the whole field, etc. Even if it’s expensive, it makes it worth it. I will say for the Lions side, I’ve been to a few games now and football is a sport that the experience watching at home is better. You get the announcers, you can use the bathroom quickly during commercial breaks, you have any food you want for a decent price, and if you have an OLED tv especially the colors are just as good as real life.
I am paying about 1300 for the 2 seats to go to the Lions-Chiefs Sunday night game. We go to one game a year so at least this way we don’t have to travel, otherwise I’d strongly consider watching this one from home.
Last game I went to was the Suh stomp incident, and I realized it’s so much better on TV because you actually know what’s happening. Hockey on the other hand is infinitely better live imo.
The Dallas Cowboys are typically one of the most expensive tickets on every opponents home schedule. Remember, most Cowboys fans couldn’t locate Dallas on a map if their life depended on it. That leads to tons and tons of bandwagon DC4L Cowboy fans dying to “go see their favorite team” in cities that are nowhere near Dallas. The most expensive home game for the Bears right now is vs the Cowboys. The same thing is happening for the Broncos and Raiders.
I think that’s true for baseball and basketball too. (Maybe not college basketball).
Hockey is one of the few sports that is better to watch in person, IMHO.
oh yea I’m never going to a game again with prices like that. I guess that’s the reward for being a fan of the 2nd shittiest team in the NFL for my life
Yep - I was ignorant to the whole thing until I went to that game. I heard the refs whistle blow, indicating a timeout…. Right after the opening kickoff was finished. And I asked my buddy wHF?! Why did we blow a TO there!?
He laughed at me said…. It’s what they do now for tv timeouts…. Never again on my own dime
I haven’t been to a game in several years now but I always wondered why they don’t have more things going on during commercial breaks for entertainment? Maybe it’s better now. They did add cheerleaders at least. But it was just watch football for a couple mins then everyone stares at their phones until the commercial is over.
At home I can have 3 different games to watch and avoid almost all commercials. I do miss tailgating though… That was a blast usually far better than the game.
