Just a place holder. Dorsey plays special teams first and foremost.
If Iffy is out, Moore, branch, rakestraw etc will take his place.
JRM, Chambers, Mitchell, doesey, Vaki, Moore will RARELY play regular snaps. However will be key on special teams
Here’s a look at our first 90-man roster last year:
Marvin Jones, Vaitai, Buggs and Benito Jones were all thought to be significant parts of the team. Walker and Jacobs, too.

I’d one hundred percent shelf Moseley for a few weeks and keep the 54th guy. No need to rush him back.

Yes… he had the visor play-
But he was hired off the street, hit a 56 PFF rating, and started 2 playoff games we won!
If he has to sit behind Davis, Robertson, Arnold and Rake, I’m okay with him being on the roster behind all those guys.

You guys were actually banking on these guys?!? I thought buggs would improve because of his contract but that’s about it. I was very upset we signed Marvin friggin jones… everyone else was always blah to me
You gotta keep Gilmore. Or just let him go and find a better opportunity. But I suppose we’ll want a veteran presence. Vildor is that, atleast. Tough call

Just to be half way decent rotational players on the team. But they couldn’t even provide that.
If there was a WAR grade in the NFL like MLB they would be negative player. I was just hoping for them to be average.
But as forDBs. Lions typically carry 10-11.
Lets say 10 + Vaki.
1 Davis
2 Arnold
3 Robertson
4 Branch
5 Rakestraw
6 moseley.
7 Iffy
8 Kerby
9 Moore
10 Doorsey.
Then you have
11 Vildor
12 Gilmore
13 Brandon
14 James
15 Norris
16 Garnes
17 Strickland.
Basically 1 Vet. - Vildor
Then a bunch of rookie/ 1 year UDFAs.

Heres a chart based on when they were ORIGINALLY brought to the lions.
So like Skipper, moore JRM and Glasgow have left the lions at some point and are back currently. So the key is when was the first time
Dorsey you must be a relative of his…He will be lucky to make the 53 roster right now he is in a group at 54 There will be some released they like better. I don’t see him making it . They just added a very good ST Safety that wasn’t on roster when you started this spread sheet.

There is good chance its a safety . They could keep 5 an 5 CBs The new kick off requires heavier an fast players . Its possible they keep a extra LB also who can play ST. I expect they will keep Moseley on pup to make sure he is healed an they know what he can do when healthy.
Don’t be shocked when we carry 5 Safety’s because of size an speed. Along with LBs that’s why they are happy to have Moore back . Your not going to use smaller weight wise even back ups on the ST. Maybe a forth TE or big WR also possible. I think the roster will break different due to new kickoff .

Chambers the LB 6-1 229 will have a shot mainly ST he has ability to find the ball carrier.
Garnes a Safety 5-11 206
Gilbert LB 6-1 218 showed well ST day one
With new rule they have to wait till ball is caught you need heavier an fast ST players LBs TEs an S I am just saying he would be on bubble as a CB but might sneak in as ST. But they like Vildor the guy hits an tackles well. Right now i would say its between Vildor an Dorsey if they carry 6
Also the CB or S is not on team yet to be mainly ST an emergency CB .

Buggs, MJ Jacobs and Walker (at this time a year ago) were definitely big parts of the plan. (Especially Buggs and Jacobs)

Dorsey may have been our best ST player at times last year. He’s capable of running it

I can definitely see that, thats why i added chambers.
But i cant see another safety jumping dorsey right now.
Brandon sat on the PS all last year.
Maybe UDFA Stickland and Garnes
But Gilbert is interesting. He was like a Hybrid NB/LB/S in college.

Unfortunately so. Lots of people were not satisfied and wanted new starters at corner, receiver, and DT.
Biggs was gaining hype but people wanted someone next to him.People want an edge now but most were still on the Houston hype train.
Or maybe it’s just me. I never saw it with walker… the way guys spoke about him made me feel like I was just being a hater. I was actually hype to see Khalid Raymond take over for Jamo to start the season. I thought MJ was more for leadership and was gonna get cut before the season. and Jacobs after a 2nd acl?? Cmon man
