In the NFL if you are good to very good at 2 of these 3, you’re going to do well. Well, I think our O is a given. On D we threw the kitchen sink at the secondary and got a very hi quality DT in Reader, we should be good to very good. Then there’s special teams. Well, we had good coverage, a great punter but were missing the kicker we could rely on. The reality is that we have a chance to be good to great in all 3 phases now. All 3. It gives me a warm…fuzzy feeling, well that could be day drinking too.

Signing Bates doesn’t really change our kicking strategy all that much in my opinion. We’re still going to go for it on any kick 55 yards or under. Having Bates just means that we can bring him in on kicks outside of that and obviously over 60 and the defense has to believe that we might actually kick it… and that’s the whole point.

I think the issue with turner was his kickoffs not field goals.

It could be interesting to see how the end of the halves could go with that leg. Besides if his short game is less accurate, it will give DC even more reason to go for it on 4th and medium lol.
I don’t think that’s possible, because Fox’s balls are too big and heavy for anyone to hold. That’s why he plays a position where he holds his own balls to kick.
