Both right. Shaq and Dwight Howard
yeah itās impressive but you have to consider that until 30 years ago, most kids his age were still in college so the pool of people he is beating is pretty small.
Sure Duren played 1 year in college but he reclassified and graduated HS a year early.
Yes itās most 20/20 games before age 22. Still very impressive.
I was going to guess Moses.
Here is the all-time list. Moses was 10th. A little surprised Drummond was up there and that Shaq wasnāt even top 20 all time. He started young though.
The new NBA says that if its not a three pointer, its meaningless. ![]()
Pistons take the lead in the 2nd.
I canāt believe how far this team has come in a little over a year.
They are so much fun to watch.
Stones are good. Weaver earns credit. He just couldnāt find the right coach
2 different players with 30 point double-doubles in the same game?
That has to be very rare.
Canada
Should be fun when Ivey returns too. Duren has been a beast. I canāt believe he barely old enough to drink.
Holy shit. Look at that.
From the DetNews:
In todayās NBA, it is not often that a team can win a game by making just six 3-point field goals, but the Pistons were able to extend their winning streak to five by dominating from the inside. They outscored the Nets 80-32 in points in the paint.
āI donāt think Iāve ever seen 80 points in the paint,ā Bickerstaff said. āAnd not only that, to have 32 assists with only six 3s, that is hard to do also. It just showed our guysā willingness to share the ball and stick to the game plan. We are a paint-attack team. That is what carried us to the dub tonight.ā
And still room to improve, of course:
Will the Pistons ever improve their play in the first quarter? When the Pistons defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, there was hope that Detroit had finally fixed its first-quarter woes. They had scored 32 points on 60.9% shooting at FedExForum and marked the only time this season they led after the first 12 minutes.
However, their start at Barclays Center was another indication that their performance against the Grizzlies was more of an outlier. Their 29-27 deficit following the first quarter does not illustrate their subpar start.
The Pistonsā defense allowed the Nets to make four out of their first five attempts on 3-point shooting, resulting in an early 19-9 lead. Clowney attributed three of the Netsā four triples. On the offensive end, the Pistons began the quarter shooting 1-of-6 from 3-point range. They also committed seven turnovers, resulting in 12 points for Brooklyn.
The Pistons remain one of the worst first-quarter teams in the league this season. They have put together the third-worst offense during the period, averaging 26.9 points with a net rating of 105.9. After trailing by as many as 10 points, the Pistons closed the period on an 18-10 run.

Jalen Duren entered the offseason with a directive that can be summed up with one word: more.
More touches. More aggression. More confidence.
The fourth-year center had multiple conversations with coach J.B. Bickerstaff about expectations after a strong finish to the 2024-25 season. He took those conversations to heart. That, along with development in his skills, has established him as one of the leagueās top centers this season.
Through nine games, the 21-year-old is averaging 19.2 points ā crushing his previous career-high of 11.8 points ā with 11.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. He and Cade Cunningham have led the way for the Detroit Pistons through their 7-2 start to the season, with Duren taking on more responsibility and thriving in his role.
āWeāve put together a plan over the summer for him and he was as dedicated to that plan as anybody,ā Bickerstaff said Friday, Nov. 7 after their 125-107 win against the Brooklyn Nets. "He worked relentlessly on his game. Heās always had the talent. I think the confidence is coming now, too, so he can see what he can do against other guys. You watch how much more aggressive he is offensively with the ball in his hands.
āI think last year it was a lot of him getting set up. We wanted him to attack more. We want him to try to create for himself more, put more pressure on the defense. I think heās done that. It all comes down to the work that heās put in.ā

Friday was his fifth double-double in nine games, his fifth game with at least 20 points and his second game with at least 30. He has put together a string of dominant performances ā 30 points, 11 rebounds and three steals against the Nets, 22 points and 22 rebounds at home against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, 33 points and 10 rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks in Mexico City last Saturday, 21 points and 13 rebounds against the Orlando Magic on Oct. 29.
Heās even making more free throws, knocking down 85.5% of his attempts so far, as teams simply have not been able to keep him out of the paint.
āIāve had conversations with J.B., multiple conversations coming into the summer about how heās seen me work on my game all summer and wants me to continue to be aggressive and show what Iāve been working on,ā Duren said Wednesday. āWith that came a lot of confidence. My teammates too, telling me to keep attacking bigs and whoever opposing teams decide to put on me. I was just trying to do what they ask me to do.ā
His pick-and-roll chemistry with Cade Cunningham has been the centerpiece of the Pistonsā offensive attack. He has slammed 18 alley-oops so far, learning how to function as an outlet when teams put multiple defenders on the All-NBA guard.
Weaver was the problem. And yes - Monty Williams, who is still earning a boatload of money but never wanted to coach, was a disaster.
Trajan Langdon is now the GM, and has recognized that organic growth of the team was going to happen. And JB Bickerstaff emphasizes defense. And we actually run plays, unlike anything Williams put out on the floor.
So nice that both Weaver and Williams are gone.
the one piece of bad news withthis is heās probably now our second max player. Which will not allow us to get another scorer. But Iāll take it.
Manā CC and JD look All world now. Add one more legit All-star (Holland/Ivey- ?) and this team has a shot at the title. Got plenty of role players and solid bench guys.
