Whatever happened to Sebastian Cossa? Wasn’t he supposed to be the next great Red Wings goalie?

Wings are a mediocre team which is why they are in the middle of 8 teams fighting for the two WC spots. 6 of those 8 miss the playoffs
UFA typically go to contenders but it will be worth a shot this off season IMO
Yzerman- he has built up the prospects pool which was void for years. They are just starting to come in now. They have 2 top goalie prospects and others including ASP who could be on the team next year on defense.

Yzermans FA’s has been lacking a bit for sure, but his drafting so far has been amazing
Playoffs need to happen or he should be shown the door, not much else to say at this point.

Not much. Kane can stil score but hes a one way forward. The too uofm boys were both signings and that’s nothing against uofm. I thought would be perfect 2nd line c. For the money is making. Needs to put up 60 points

I think a lot of people still have high hopes for him, supposedly he’s actually trending in the right direction.
When he played this year, my know nothing arm chair QB eyes saw a giant sloth like slow goalie. So I don’t think he’ll work out, but I know zero about goaltending
I want ASP and the Russian (who is about to tie or beat Kaprizov’s season in the KHL).
Both look like they could move the needle, Augustine looks like he could move the needle. The rest just look like more irrelevant players that would keep this flat circle flat

Yzerman should be fired if they don’t make the playoffs. He has not been good with Detroit. They have no identity they are like the Pistons under Stan Van Gundy. Zero chance of winning anything. Yzerman is just a name at this point and should be relieved of his duties sooner rather than later.

Yeah this isn’t about who we’re adding (Mrazek), though Smith is easily better than Velano. This is simply moving on from Velano and finding a way to get rid of him.

The Jake Walman trade to San Jose was a real head scratcher last summer….
