I have heard out of town visitors struggle with Dequindre.
They seems to mispronounce that one every time. I even heard on person think It was pronounce Dick-in-Dre

Lots of head on collisions
Back when I was in the oil’n’gas industry, some out of staters came and were struggling with “Meijer”. I told him, “repeat after me…My your sexy…Now take of the sexy and just say my your.”
They nailed it after that (most people pronounce “your” more like “yer”.
