Detroit Tigers

I’m not sure how I feel about trading the little talent we have for more unproven players and draft picks. If I trusted Avila I’d probably be fine with it. He could easily set this franchise back another 3-5 years or so.

Yup, and the guys I wouldn’t mind trading probably won’t fetch much in return. I guess there’s some value out in the bullpen that other teams might pony up for…

Is this why Marty hasn’t posted in awhile? He seems absent.

In my very uneducated opinion I would think skubal and Greene are untouchable. Everyone else sure, but what are you going to get for everyone else?

There has to be a way we can keep our guys who contribute and not completely decimate the team again and build off the two young guys we have

Javy Baez with his major league leading ninth throwing error. He makes some spectacular plays out in the field but my goodness he cannot throw that ball with any accuracy. This doesn’t include all of the balls Torkelson has dug out of the dirt. He could easily have 20. Ridiculous for what he’s being paid.

And the runner that was safe on his throwing error just came around to tie the score.

I was thiiiiiiis close to dropping a couple hundy on the Tigers Season Win Total over 75 at the start if the year.

Now I have a couple hundy to drop on the Lions over 6 wins number!

Sometimes the best bets are the ones you dont make.

For sure. I’m making that Lions over 6 bet as well. That’s not just the free based Koolaide talking either. I think they have a great shot.

Where is it 6? Last year was a steal at under 5 1/2. 7 1/2 is the number for a +160 while 6 1/2 is a -121. per Bet Rivers.

Not touching it this year. One word “Goff”. He goes down, its over.

My Jays are apparently interested in Fulmer, how good is this guy Tigers fans!? Worth trading for!?

Fulmer has been pretty good since coming back from surgery. He was looking to be special his first couple of years. Now he’s settled in as a long reliever. Not sure if his stuff is dominant enough to be a closer but his mentality is a little bulldoggish. He’s a solid pitcher.

Yeah give us Moreno and we’ll call it a deal.

just joking GIF

Kind of.

Hard pass, but thx for the laugh. I might give you Moreno for Skubal and Fulmer though!! That I would consider.

He’s a solid relief pitcher, possible fill in closer.

I’m slightly biased as his wife is good friends with my daughter. But think the above is accurate and fair. Plus he is a quality individual.

Fulmer is a Dan Petry clone. I’ve always thought Fulmer reminded me of Petry, well, I took a peek at the 84’ Tigers and I was correct, they look very much alike out on the mound, plus they both have really good sliders.

Is it bad that I’d consider that too?

That’s how bad our offense has been.

And I trust Chris Fetter to be able to replace those 2 guys.

Haha no, I get it. I learned today that Berrios and Baez are brother in laws. And Baez hit a dinger off Berrios, fun to watch.

I also factor in is the trade worth it? Getting rid of a guy like fulmar, who can be a cornerstone of your very solid bullpen, for an unproven middling prospect isn’t worth it to me.
