Agreed with top 5. I just don’t think he should be the highest paid. He is a great QB, but has limitations the top don’t, and should be paid accordingly.
This is not a knock on Goff by any means. He’s just a very accurate statue

again biggest questions for that contract is guaranteed money and length
dont mind 3-4 year extension but how much of it is guaranteed.
I’m the biggest Jared fan around, but he needs an o-line to win (so did Brady). I think Detroit made a mistake not signing him for 40 last off-season. I hope he takes less than 50 and I have a feeling Holmes won’t offer 50 (In truth, I doubt Jared would care, but his agent will go for the gold like all agents). Holmes missed a trick here.

Sewell, St Brown, both likely getting massive paydays
and Alim Mcneil who will also get a significant pay raise aswell
def some questions to answer, but again, big positive is that we have the core for atleast one more year at minimum if shit hits the fan

The Brady-esque accepting less than market was a one-time thing that the NFLPA is focused on not repeating. People should drop that fantasy from their thoughts.

But Goff and his agent know that Dak is soon going to reset the market at $60m or so. With both a no trade clause and a no franchise clause, Jerry is going to pay through the nose.

GOFF WAS THE 2nd biggest cap hit for a QB this year for the entire NFL.
Even when he gets an extension he wont be in the top 10 vs what everyone else will be

I love Jared Goff, but I really hope we don’t have a repeat of Jamaal here. Brad will have a number that he’s willing to pay and I’m not sure anyone, Jared included, will move Brad off his number. I’m hoping Jared and his agent will be sensible and secure the bag for themselves, but also make sure the team can build around him.
If it comes to a stand-off, I’m willing to bet Holmes is more than happy to call their bluff. I want Jared back, but at a price that makes sense for both him and the Lions.

Purdy is making 900K
Nobody is taking Brady discount kind of deals. But Brad has a year and a tag to work with. If he feels that demands are significantly above market value he doesn’t have to move now.
I think Jared loves it here and everybody loves Jared. Won’t surprise me if a compromise of sort is reached at 50 +- 2/3m.

yeah next year Allen, Hurts and Burrows extension kicks in next year
Jags also have a Tlaw extension that will kick in the same years as Goff
Goff prolly will be still a top 10 paid QB in 2025/26, but he should be at minimum 50 mill per year
I think after this run hes gonna get PAID this off season. Already got a top agent. I wont be the least bit surprised if Purdy gets a 45+m extension
We could not pay him, and take the chance of having 50+ more years of guys like Chuck Long, Andre Ware, Rodney Pete, Scott Mitchell.
