Do you bench jamo?

The best revenge is to score on the next ■■■■■■■ play!
He don’t need to do nothing more to shut them up.

100 percent. Kid aint a soft WR. He kinda reminds me of Steve Smith. Deep threat who played on edge and did do some stupid shit. But I believe Steve Smith is in the hall of fame.

What he did was dumb. He got benched and apologized for it after the game. Stevenson was the Safety he threw the ball at and the sound picked up some of what he said and it was not okay in the slightest. That doesn’t justify it, not trying to justify it. Stevenson is also the dude who was jawing with Commander fans DURING the hail mary attempt…I am not as worried about this…shit happens.

You do not have the luxury in the NFL to sit players usually. Roster way to short and talent too thin.

Yes it was dumb. Funny thing is that he had a solid game.

No you don’t bench him- you leave him alone in a room with DC, and keep him there til he gets “it.”

The problem is he not self aware at all…. Like zero-

When you are recovering from an ACL and can’t help the team who drafted you in round one while injured…. Maybe show some respect and prepare for when you can?

When you got off to a slow start to your career- maybe don’t highlight that you are pounding McDonalds and ice cream, and shooting fireworks out of your hands on social media-

If you have already been suspended on a technicality of “where”you place college basketball bets… maybe be a bit more aware of the rules on the PED list or reporting process….

If you have already faced discipline and scrutiny for immature actions… maybe don’t speed around in the middle of the night with guns in the car???

If all of this has already happened to you, maybe the Superman crotch grab back flip is an unnecessary risk of injury and penalty?

If you just got penalized and fined for obscene gestures a few weeks ago, maybe don’t throw a football into another players face? Or celebrate every first down?

—- all players are created different and Jamo sure has a skill set and energy like few others. He doesn’t seem to abide by the team first mantra others seems to be held too.

It won’t.

The problem becomes, can he be trusted not to do something stupid that ■■■■■ us out of a Super Bowl?
The rest of the team works too hard and sacrifices too much.
Again, that’s some selfish bullshit.

You missed the liking a post about Lamar Jackson on Twitter to complete the “stupid shit fans have gotten their panties in a bunch about” holy trinity regarding Jamo.

To be fair- it was stupid though. You are a 2nd year WR with 41 career receiving yards. Goff is your captain and a QB that has been to a SB…

I know you didn’t love my criticism of him then, and his effort and blocking has won me over quite a bit, but he still doesn’t seem to accept all actions allow for judgement, and could have consequences.

By itself, no big deal. The list proves beyond the shadow of any reasonable doubt, he does not think before he acts!
He either doesn’t realize how his actions affect others. Or, he’s such a “huge talent” that he doesn’t care.

They really just need to hire @BigNatty to talk to him…

Is a lack of respect in general a fair blanket statement?

He doesn’t seem to respect the rules of the game… taunting etc

He doesn’t seem to respect the opportunity to maximize talent… diet, working out, weight room, film room

He doesn’t seem to respect the law… guns and speeding cars at 1am

He doesn’t seem to respect rules of the NFL- gambling, peds- etc

He didn’t respect his QB and captain with his social behavior…. What if he posted how great it would be to have Mike McDaniel here? Would you be okay with disrespecting DC- or was it okay at the time because you thought Lamar would be a nice upgrade over Goff too?

As a fan you can think that- as a teammate it’s not wise- especially if you are the one who hasn’t proven shit yet?

I’ve literally cannot recall a player ever dragging out a TD celebration like he did after his first TD- it was like 90 seconds.

Every catch, every first down, every run- a ball is spun, spiked, a gesture. Every time.

I love Jamo’s talent and he is a dawg, makes blocks and seems to be accepting doing the dirty stuff. Glad he is on our team.
But I can also think objectively about this topic, so…

Let me ask this question, and I hope everyone answers it honestly
If Jamo was on another team and had this list of things he has done, would you consider him a fit for the Lions culture?

My answer…I’m not so sure

Of course not.

Im sure by the time he is 26, he will cut half the stupid shit he does, maybe 3/4.

Until then, he is a weapon, will help us win a lot of games.

Will also piss me off. Probably often.

Gonna say that he isn’t going to get a second contract, not solely because of his immature behavior, but because it’s likely they need to choose between LaPorta and Jamo due to cap constraints and LaPorta will be cheaper. Possibly more valuable too.

Get back to me after a couple rings

This will come down to how people perceive the “no turds” distinction. I’ve never took it as personal character, but football character - do they love the game, do they give it their all, will they be blocking guys into the dirt when the team is down by 20? That’s the Lions culture. To me, if a guy is a football guy, he’s a Lion.

As far as personal character? I’m sure there are probably some dealbreakers, but I don’t think Jamo has done anything close to be labeled a “bad character” guy. Immature? Yeah, a little. But the guy isn’t beating his girlfriend in an elevator.

All very fair points.

That’s fair. I just wonder if it would throw flags to a FO like we have now.
