If you want an actual argument the average WNBA franchise valuation has gone from something like $95m two ish years ago to $427m today. The owners can afford to pay them more.

The Golden State expansion team went for 50 million two years after the Aces went for million

The extremely wealthy build their wealth off of equity not cash flows. The WNBA owners have been slaying it in that regard recently.

I get it. I also didn’t say anything you stated was false. I am just not a believer in the WNBA being some major ascending market. Sure it’s on a “high” right now. But I don’t expect it to be sustained…I also don’t really care either way

That’s fine you as an individual feel that way but the players who watched the league go from unprofitable to 10X revenue and profitable and 50X franchise evaluations don’t have any right to ask for more money lol?
