I can’t remember the last time I played Madden. Maybe 2009. For a few years my buddies an I used to get together late nights to play. Then I stricly played franchise mode. That was the BEST! Hiring coaches, coordinators, sometimes creating new franchises in new citities, creating jersy’s, drafting, trading, and simming regular seasons.
I’m considering getting madden for PC just for franchise mode. Is it any good? Or is there any other games out there made for this purpose? Thanks!
I haven’t played franchise mode in 5+ years. I only play Superstar mode now.
Haven’t played Madden in decades. I remember they introduced something called the “hit stick” and the RB would fumble all the time. That was it for me.
Started with Madden 92 ended with Madden 97. I think they got worse every year. I don’t care much about graphics. I prefer to see more of the field than the closeups. Game took opposite direction.
I just have a 360 or else I will. Dont really play a lot of video games these days

Haha some of my buddies, that was their main strategy. Just use the middle linebacker and keep smashing the hit stick until Kevin Jones would eventually fumble the game away. Drove me nuts. Lol I remember tossing one the controllers down the basement stairs I was so pissed. Oh to be young and stupid again.
Or the juke stick. If it was a speed back he’d try to juke but always fumble. If it was a power back he’d try to power over you. Sometimes I’d pick a CB and just play him in the MLB position.

I wait till June/July (steam summer sale) and buy it for under $20. Great value, get a couple months of football fix before the real season starts.
Um, what? You should know I’m a guy who back in the day all I had was a stick! And I have a phone with a cute apple logo on there that doesn’t do anything when I press on it. And the kids say things to me like dead ass, rizz, and I should touch grass. I just tell them to get off my lawn.
I used to, but I’m strictly CFB now from a video game standpoint.
My roommate has Madden and it seems decent. They’ve updated the playbooks and you can actually call stunts now. It seems like a better game.

I gave up gaming when oldest daughter was conceived. Haven’t really touched a system since bc I didn’t want anything to distract me from being a dad.
But boy did you bring back some good memories! I would love to fire it up and play against kids online. Be that 37 year old torching kids and talking trash. Lions would have a good roster to play with too!
