That’s really not even too bad, when you consider he’s probably looking for 20 mill per season over several years. It sure would piss him off though.

The reason why I brought up the following years tag is because it tends to creep into the negotiation as a factor. If you are going to be owed $40M the following season there is no reason to settle for less without hitting the open market.
