it could mean he will kept on the roster and will get some reps in practice… but the plan is to have him sit for the year regardless of whether Goff misses time.

I think that would be a waste of a roster spot on the 53.

They’ve seen Sudfeld for a season… so I don’t think they would have re-signed him with any guaranteed money unless they planned to keep him.

Yea you may be right, but the fact that Holmes said he was trying to sign a few other vets “but it just didn’t work out” tells me that Sudfeld was far from their 1st option. And we signed Tim Boyle and Blough last season to new deals but they sucked so bad in training camp and preseason we cut them.

Now maybe Sudafed is better than I think he is. But, I’m a little concerned with him having to play if God forbid something were to happen to Goff.
