Eagles used a play from Caldwell’s playbook

The ol’ 10 man gambit. Sneaky

Why is this Caldwell’s playbook? It sounds more like Mike Singletary started it. Pederson wants winners. And he’d rather play with 10 men if he knows the 11th guy doesn’t really want to be there!

Good point. Caldwell employed the nine-man option. Even more sneaky

I’m guessing it was Austin’s version of the Wide 9?

But, the Lions finally, finally found the weakness in that defensive strategy for once.

I’m pretty sure it was Gene Hackman in Hoosiers, right?

If Hoosiers were an accurate portrayal Hackman would’ve been throwing more chairs. That’s how you coach basketball in Indiana.
