NFL & NCAA football (P4) are the only 2 sports your guaranteed to make money no matter what TV market your in.
Every other sport, even NBA, NHL MLB etc. local TV deals rarely make money unless your in a top 3 market.
ESPN buying NFLN just means that we will NEVER get a single team TV out of market package.
Which are likely to get out MLB, NHL & NBA after this RSN collapse
I wonder if this deal comes with any kind of clause that ESPN can’t put Red zone behind an ESPN plus subscription paywall and that it must continue to be a part of the cable package
Until the contract ends yes. But once the TV contract is done. It will likely merge into some new ESPN+ deal

No. When Disney bought out Fox. It was virtually only 20th/21st Century fox entertainment aka the TV shows and Movies/ FX and Nat Geo
FOX Corp still is separate and owns the Fox News and Sports channels
