I think this game will be crazy loud.
Go Lions
Will you be there Air? I can’t wait for this.
It will all depend on how the game goes. Lions get into a 14-0 hole and it will be as quiet as the 0-16 team.
I am not planning to go at this point but I do have my seat reserved just incase I change my mind.
I have a bunch of friends going to a local sports bar and I am planning to join them but the thoughts of heading down town and tailgating with some friends and family is burning in my gut.
My issue is I’m flying out early tomorrow to Cancun Mexico for a business convention and not getting home until late will make it tough. Usually these late games I’m not home until after 1am.
Logistically getting a hotel near the airport would have been the best option but I have to drop off my truck and our company car to the shop for repairs while I’m gone. That means my work day starts tomorrow around 6am Then I must meet with an important client at 8am before heading towards the airport. So I have to be back tonight to get that done and then I’m car pooling to the airport with business associates.
So I’m really torn right now. The smart move is to hang out locally with a bunch of close friends.
How do I not go to this game?
Gawd I’ve just about talked myself into getting dressed in my Lions gear and heading downtown. But if I do that I know I’ll be regretting it tomorrow.
I could crash on the plane I guess ….lol
Ask me again in 3 hours.
I don’t think so
I think us fans are still in the honeymoon phase where we are just thankful we don’t suck anymore and will still cheer
We have not graduated into the we only cheer for win mode yet
This is the way. How well do you know your important client? Do they know you well enough to tell if you’re a little less than 100 energy wise? Is the meeting heavily detail oriented or more of a touch point, generic check in type meeting?
It’s easy for me to just say go to the game, but if I could make it work, I certainly would. It’s a nice conundrum to have. It’s a win-win no matter which way you go.
New potential client trying to earn their business.
There’s a lot more logistically going on that says I shouldn’t go.
But I really want to go and I do not want to be sitting on a plane regretting not going …lol
I’m packing now so I can have the option.
I’m leaning towards not going. Last night I decided I wasn’t going. But this morning I’m changing my mind….lol
I feel so indecisive today and I’m already tired. I didn’t sleep for shit last night. I’m even a bit scatter brained already.
I am super excited about this game.
Air, there is always a new client to gather, this is a once in a lifetime event. We need you there.
That help?
That thought has crossed my mind…lol
I can afford to lose the business.
Man — that’s tough. I both envy you (for having such a choice to make) and don’t at the same time. You also don’t want to be regretting it tomorrow AM when you feel like dog doo doo either.
Sounds like the logistics of the vehicle stuff is a PITA. From the outside looking in, there’s not much difference between 1130/1145 and 1. That sleep delta is negligible. For me, I would need to tailor back my drinking to almost nothing to make it work on that amount of sleep. Good luck either way Air. Heck of a bind to be in. Be interested to see what you decide.
Let’s hope you have a double winner this weekend. Both the client and the Lions!!
I can afford to lose the business.
Well, this changes things!! 100 full speed ahead to the game. The Lions have game planned for you being there. Everyone is beat up and injured this time of year. Take a few Tylenol tonight and in the AM. It’s your time to shine at Ford Field!!
As your Avatar says, CARPE DIEM!
I’m 3 hours away from Detroit and have to work at 8am. Not stopping me lol. Do what is right for you @Air2theThrown but the regret will be unreal if this game is historic and you pass. I’ll cheer loud enough for both of us just in case.
There’s the answer. No beer and you’ll be fine.
what if the new client is a huge Lions fan too? If he knows why you are dragging ass that might earn you some points in his eyes
The deciding factor was my daughter she really wanted to see me as long as she could today before I left for a week tomorrow.
So I chose not to go. I know I’m going to regret not going but I had a lot of stuff to do today before I could leave and I’m still not done.
I just arrived at the sports bar to meet a group of friends, family and coworkers.
So after the game I have to go home and finish packing yet.
Staying home and playing with my daughter was worth it. She really wanted to go to the game with me but that wasn’t an option this game.
I’ll enjoy the game with my group. I have my seat picked out and it’s going to be an epic win tonight.
Let’s go Lions!
It will all depend on how the game goes. Lions get into a 14-0 hole and it will be as quiet as the 0-16 team.
I seriously doubt that. And if things DID go quiet, all Dan would have to do is have Skipper report as eligible. The crowd gets hyped when that is announced over the loudspeaker.
