There’s a great deal of shared knowledge among posters in the Den about all things Free Agency and cap so this won’t be new for some, but I found this to be a good refresher. Plus I just like Justin Roger’s stuff.
Justin just put out a pretty useful primer on Free Agency/Salary Cap and contract formation. He’s also brought it out from behind his websites paywall, so free to read.

Speaking of primers, that (your) opening sentence is a primer on effective communication.
Troy, who tracks the Texans Cap, does some work for OTC, is putting out a series of videos that explain how the cap works and is touching on all things that are cap related. Justin does a decent job, but there are some errors (ERFA salaries is wrong - he may not know difference between accrued and credited season, treatment of per game roster bonuses are wrong) and some things he doesn’t explain real well.
Troy will get everything right, but he has kind of a monotone voice and he gets a little long winded. Each video is between 6 minutes and 17 minutes. You can also pick and choose which section you want to watch i.e. dead money or June 1 designation. He has 11 posted and will do 9 more before the start of UFA.
