Fans seem to think we need a Big WR I think they want a slot

He had one really good season of 12 TD’s followed by three more modest seasons of 3, 6, and 3 TD’s. He might be servicable but there’s a reason he’s BYU’s all time TD for a TE and not drafted.

I bet we could get Josh Palmer for a song. He’s not a perfect X but probably better than Josh was (going deep especially). They just drafted McConkey, Rice, Harbaugh-man Corn Johnson, brought in 4 UDFA WRs, and still have Quinten Johnson who you’d think Harbaugh will like based on the 2022 semi-final game. As a year rental he could definitely do a job.

Holmes said he was interested in bringing Josh Reynolds back before he signed with Denver…so it appears he’s not done at WR. I’d be pretty surprised if they don’t. Unless behind the scenes they think DPJ and Green are going to break out.

I think Brown offers considerably more upside. I’m not a Palmer guy though.

I agree he has a higher ceiling, but I’d argue a much lower floor as well. At least Palmer’s done something in the league (though admittedly Brown hasn’t had much of a chance).

You think the Niners are ready to give up on Danny Gray yet?

He was the next one on my wish list after Dyami. I do think Dyami plays more like an X than Danny did. In colllege T least. Not saying either is the prototype but Dyami was a dog at the catch point at UNC IMO.

I wonder if Justyn Ross is ready to contribute. And if so, would they move him?

I also like Justin Watson though I don’t know how X-ish he is. Seems to catch his share of deep passes.

Alec Pierce? Ced Tillman? Jason Browlee? The first 2 will probably be expensive.

I still think Ezukanma can play, though again not sure how X-ish he is.

Jajuan Jennings seems like he’d be a possibility now.

See he’s definitely more of a slot to me. You almost never see him doing anything deep. Saying that he could certainly handle a lot of what we asked of Josh.

Duh Bears had the Fridge and Lions now have a walk-in freezer.

And drop them

EQ St. Brown may not make it in NO. Not that it excites a me a ton but at least he can block.

Houston is likely to have Xavier Hutchinson at WR7 unless they cut Woods. If they cut Woods I’d be open to adding him if it’s cheap.

Detroit was one of the best teams in the league in red zone TD scoring last year.

Hunter Renfrow anyone? Loved him in the draft, had great production until McDaniels took over and then he sort of fizzled out at the end of last year.

Tyquan Thornton may not make the Pats. He’s interesting to me.

Lightning, but does he do anything else we ask of our WRs?

Probably not. I think Dyami has the type of personality in which we could bring that out of him.

He seems like one of the best options for sure

Chark for a song still makes the most sense. One of the few moves we could make now to move the needle.
