In my favorite keeper league I have Achane. My RB room is him, Jacobs, Jerome Ford, Jaylin Wright and I just picked up Jeff Wilson with Motsert being out.
I have many good pass catchers and only have to play 2 but due to a preference to raise the floor I usually lean towards a RB in the flex spot. I definitely want to play at least one tonight. Scoring format is 1/2 PPR.
So assuming Achane is a go I’ll play him and pucker up with the workload/reinjury concerns.
If not, do I go with Wilson’s safety and hopeful rushing TD? Or do I take a whirl with the young buck and all that speed in the Achane role (though likely not the same receiving work)? Do I hedge by playing the entire Dolphins backfield?
My opponent is fairly weak this week though in a lot of ways that makes a win more essential.
Any advice on this one? Not a den related league so don’t worry about negatively effecting anybody else here.
If you do not start achane or any of the dolphin rb’s what were your thoughts in regards to the backs you would play instead? Wilson is very capable and should eat. Jacobs should kill this week with the Love injury. I have Ford in a league and I am debating on using him and barkley or barkley and Dmon since CMAC is out. It’s a tough call ford or wilson.
Side note. I have been lucky to own CMAC twice. First time it was hard bc it was a injury year for him. No production. Second time he went off. This year i was hesitant to take him…but i did…maaaaaan. i hope i don’t lose bc of it lol.
Ford should benefit from the predator’s shitty play. Lots of dump offs to him…if your in 1/2 ppr something to consider.
I have the exact same issue with Mostert/Wright/Wilson (who I just picked up) as my RB2. Currently rolling with Wilson as I think Achane will play which will limit Wright some. Plus the coach trusts him, it’s a short week, and he looked good last week.
Jacobs has a back injury. And though he will play I absolutely need to have one RB play tonight to ensure I’m not dropping someone that I don’t want to or just rolling with one empty spot.
means that you have 2 flex spots, and they are 1 WR/TE, 1 WR/TE/RB. Not that you have 2 positionless flex spots AND a WR/TE flex as well as a WR/TE/RB, right?
Yeah I don’t really see a 4th pass-catcher that would be better than a 3rd RB. Honestly I’m not sure I’d play Adams, though they’re likely to be behind and game-script might help.
Personally I’d go Achane, Jacobs and Ford. It’s fun to think about the possibilities with the 2nd Miami RB (and knowing you, I suspect will be difficult to resist), but you don’t want to be over-exposed in the Thursday night game either.
I have gibbs and dmon in a big money league and people are legit telling me to start both and honestly, I could…in that league Gibbs got 14 points and Dmon 18 last weekend.
