For my birthday

I used to work with a French guy and you could smell him in his cube from 10 feet away. Knee buckling. Finally someone in HR had to have a talk with him. Then it was better. There’s a reason Pepe Le Pew was French.

I worked a lot in Europe over the last 3 decades.

I can tell you that it isn’t just the French. We Americans take having an abundance of fresh water and the ability to take a shower daily for granted and give it no thought.

You wouldn’t know it if you travel to Europe and stay in a hotel with showers, but most of the everyday people in Europe literally cannot afford the water bill to shower daily and hence it was common to do a “washcloth shower” and slap on a bunch of cologne.

Many Europeans come to America and old habits don’t die easily. Just like tipping for American’s when traveling in Europe. It is hard for us NOT to tip when literally anything more than just rounding up the bill to the nearest Euro or adding a Euro or two is the norm and even that small amount of tipping is not expected. Waiters in Europe LOVE when Americans dine in their restaurant LOL

But yea, many people from Europe don’t realize how they smell to us and it is good that your firm had someone talk to the person.

I hated having the Personal Hygiene talk with my employees.

Wasnt often, but it was always IT guys….these were regular ol stanky nerds.

Yknow what’s worse than cube farm BO?

Extended stay hotel room burnt Indian food. Entire floor just reeeeeked, seeps in under the doors….for a week, holed up w 3 other guys reading 500,000 emails in an 11 figure corporate merger case.

Hawaiian shirts, Tiger caps and Ferrari’s that one was not.

I use it to cure foot odor as well.

I buy real apple cider vinegar (with the mother) for seasoning and as a tonic, white vinegar for curing swamp foot.

Yea, more than once I was on a project with a bunch of Indian IT people and the whole floor at the extended stay place would smell like indian food…super highly spiced indian food. And the smell never went away somehow.
