The Lions winning once he was traded is one thing. But Kerby blowing his acl out added some extra salt in the wound for sure.
Hock will be fine though… he’s the highest paid TE in the nfl. I’m sure he sleeps just fine.
Hockenson didn’t deserve all of the criticism he got here. It wasn’t his fault that Quinn used the 8th pick on him after we had seen Ebron and to a lesser extent, Pettigrew not live up to expectations.
He proved to be arguably a top 5 receiving TE during his time here. Unfortunately, he never could get his blocking straightened out. I’m glad we made the move though, we got an even better TE now, and I would not have paid Hockenson that contract.
It got straightened out the second he went from a man to zone scheme in Minny.
No problem with Hawk as a human… Just prefer a tougher guy… Especially with a much better contract
