If only he could have saved that pizza…

I wonder how he really got injured? Always had the Fauria bullshit alarm going off with that story.

I always liked burleson and felt he presented himself well while he was here as well as after

And even though his time was divided fairly evenly between three teams, he seems to identify more as a Detroit Lion than a former Seahawk or Viking.

Go get 'em, Nate!

Not many ex-players repping the Lions if they had a different opportunity, and Burleson’s been doing it since he retired.

wouldn’t be surprised if he really was diving for a pizza. But I just always assumed there was a fair amount of alcohol involved and luckily for him the cops were Lions fans

Nobody is going to dive for a pizza at 2:30 am while driving unless their judgement is impaired

Could have just been a very good pizza

Nate was a Detroit Lion before being a Detroit Lion was cool. I wish I could find his 2011 epic speech against the Cowboys. I can’t find it, help!

Probably high as a kite. He was teammates with Megabong. Trying to save a pizza when you’re higher than Snoop Dog makes a lot of sense :joy:

Don’t be so quick to assume… pizza is one of life’s staples, like death and taxes.

Except, way more enjoyable, I should add.

A weird note in the story

I can’t figure

$18m worth
But made $33m as an nfl player …?

An NFL player doesn’t actually make the full 33mil earned by contract… they usually take home half or less after taxes, agent, and extra bs

Dang that’s a lot

Yeah look at a contract breakdown after expenses. Take home is usually about 45%.

So, wasn’t Jets then…checks out.

Minus family, minus entourage minus conspicuous consumption.

$18m is top 5% of.NFL guys as farvas preserving over 50% of his career earnings, wspecially without a lot of endorsement money. He has been drawing media gig paychecks for awhile, vut still, that’s impressive.

But if money is invested and how market has been since he signed …

I never trust those reports on worth
And I also don’t mean to count another persons pockets.

I would hope that $18m is enough to be generational wealth that could provide enough options for your off spring to do things they love and settle into a rewarding career or difference making path …

We know there’s been athletes who have lost it all

I’ll dive for Buddy’s
