Hopefully we’re judging whether he’s actually dedicated himself to the game or not. Browns fans biggest complaint about him was he just didn’t seem to care about the sport. That’s a huge no-no for us. But the talent’s undeniable, and a year off can change a man’s perspective on things.
You can’t accuse Brad of not being thorough when digging through the bargain bin.
I really liked him in that draft. Early it looked like he might hit but he’s been consistently terrible since. Hard to be bullish if Bill Callahan can’t make it work. Perhaps a year off has changed him. 
Passing on Wirfs for him really has to hurt.

If we signed Wills - and I doubt we will - yes, he would just be depth. A punt.
He’s also two years more mature. It makes a difference when you’re suddenly closer to 30 than 20.

I don’t think it would be crazy for a resurgent Wills to be much better than Dan freaking Skipper.
It does, but can this leopard change its spots? That’s why I assume we’ve brought him in. Talent-wise there won’t be many like him, but he just completely mailed it in in Cleveland.
I don’t know. Any other city and I would say no. Cleveland is a different franchise. Hope goes to die there. Maybe being in a new environment makes the difference.
I’m sure that’s why we’re bringing him in, to see if he’s changed. But giving your all in a bad situation is something our FO values in a draft prospect, I suspect it’s the same for guys in the league. It will 100% be a strike against him, maybe more than one, whether hope goes to die there or not.
