Freep: Time may be running out for Detroit Lions OL Giovanni Manu. He's aware

In a draft where the overall talent is crappy…..it makes sense they took a gamble on the giant freak of nature……go back and look at the picks made after Manu and Vaki…….its a graveyard. This isn’t Bop quinn drafting Jarrad Davis when TJ Frickon Watt is on the board.

Problem with that theory is the pick we traded to get Manu was for the 2025 draft. That ended up being a top 100 pick. Very valuable for trade up opportunities as well as trade deadline draft capital that we didn’t have.

This board desperately thought Manu was gonna turn into Jordan Mailata simple because they had similar stories and size. That just isn’t how these things work.

You get your hands on guys and you move them. There’s technique on how to get this done. He’s working in the offseason with the best guy possible. Bentley sees he getting a little better but not on the pace to help Detroit this year. I think he will be on a roster in 3 years.

So Brad decided that taking a risk for a potential stud in a poor draft was worth a 2025 pick. He took a gamble….appears to have lost. It happens sometimes. He learned from it. It’s super easy to sit back and critique a man from home with 0 pressure…..
