The Detroit news is reporting he has a back injury? I don’t subscribe so I can’t read the article. This is the first I’ve heard of this. Any of you know anything about this?
Back injury sounds better than hold out
Yes, back is sore from carrying that big bag of money around he’s about to have
Wonder if Gibbs has the same agent as Micah Parsons? Seems we’ve seen the old “back injury” ploy with the sudden full recovery after the contract situation is resolved (or in Parsons case, after he was traded). ![]()
If it wasn’t for the old “non-specific cause transient pain” bullshit back injury, I wouldn’t have a job.
I think this came up a few days back. It was noted when he took his physical or something
I have an old back injury, it doesn’t nail me every day, but when it does appear, at random, it hurts like hell and I cannot get comfortable. this injury is from the “excercise and weight training” class in high school-when squatting weights. had it since 1988.
My hernia surgery on the left side still has daily discomfort in it….
Is this how Gibbs avoids being fined for his hold in?
I don’t see him getting fined-when the FO probably expected Gibbs to do this.
I wasn’t sure what the cba rules were about not practicing without injury. I know he can be fined if he didn’t show up.
.
If a player actually holds OUT and doesn’t report to camp, the fines are mandatory per the CBA. The teams actually can’t forgive them.
If a player reports, and holds in while awaiting a contract extension that both sides want to get done… this is just part of the process.
Thanks for the clarification.
I get it, I want a raise as well, but I’ve got a chancre sore on the inside of my cheek that I keep touching with my tongue and making worse
hope this back injury is BS !
He’s out on the sideline at practice today for the first time. I’m hoping that’s a positive sign.
