Yeah, another ranking post. I do think the top 3 are pretty spot on.

Gibby >>> others by a land slide
I think the argument in a list would be “he’s never done it over a whole season as the clear #1 guy.” It’s the same reason he’s not #1 in fantasy, he’s not a traditional bell cow. Talent wise I agree there’s no one better (maybe peak CMC), but they’re probably factoring that in.
They’re damn sure not factoring in handsomeness.
Also, one of the guys posted something about RBs that have run for more than 400 carries the prior season.
They say Gibbs is best utilized in a 1-2 punch bc being a primary back would wear him down… Then say Bijan (one spot lower than Gibbs) exploded as the primary back on his team. Gibbs had only 50 less carries… Being a “primary” back is an arbitrary term. I guess when you have 2 good backs, someone is going to hold that against them.
I love our guy so much. 0% chance I’d trade my favorite Lion (player) for any RB. I like Gibby’s skillset better than al of 'em. IMO, the only argument is Barkley, because of speed AND power combo…but factor in age…
I would still rank CMC ahead of him but Gibbs could be #1 by the end of the season. He is an incredible player.
And Allgeier had almost as many yards as Monty. Falcons had a 1-2 punch as well.
â– â– â– â– the falcons.
Hahaha
Gibbs was actually better when Montgomery went down and if Ben Johnson didn’t go all stupid against Washington, Gibbs was pacing for a historic playoff game. I get placing Barkley and Henry over him because of track record as primary backs but this reasoning is stupid.
That cat was hauling the rock at like 9.8 yards per carry. He was gonna single-handedly win that game for us. Truly amazing. Also overlooked because we lost the game. Gibby was the best player on that field by a MILE that day.
He was looking like prime Marshall Faulk, the Commanders had no answer, then Ben inexplicably took the ball out of his hands. One of the biggest coaching botches that I can remember.
I think his head was at least partly in Chicago. I was PISSED!
All we needed to do was NOT turn the ball over, and we win that game, for sure. Gibby was 100% lethal. Should’ve rolled with it until they figure out how to stop it - no turnovers that way.
Goff was white hot…but every “off/bad” throw he made was a reeeaaally bad one that got picked.
Yeah, trading Jack Fox for a rb would be kind of unusual.
If Gibbs ever gets hurt… Pretty sure Fox would rush for 300 yards before half ![]()
My brother!
