seeing as I’m not a draftnik or watch a lot of other college football I was a bit stunned by the pick. Was grumpy but went and looked up the hightlight college videos.
after having my eyebrows go up so much I almost sprained my scalp, I was perfectly happy with the pick

I was probably as high on Gibbs as anyone could be. I definitely saw his talent translating to the NFL. He’s doing the same exact things in the NFL that he did in college.
The thing that really drew my attention was how often the first person to have a chance to make a tackle on him not only missed, but got totally embarrassed. It happened multiple times a game, every game.

I was SO happy. He is the player I wanted from that draft… Based on what people who are more educated than me were saying, it wouldn’t work out… So imagine how happy I was, because I didn’t think it was a possibility.

Didn’t realize he had an offer from Michigan. He would have either been really fun or have been inexplicably buried on the depth chart.

Didn’t hate it, but I did like Bijan better. I was worried we simply took the next best RB. But his tape was pretty amazing. I was ok with the pick. Now I’m ecstatic.

So didn’t hate the pick, it did surprise me though. The only reason I didn’t hate it is because my ex-satan himself-father-in-law is a huge bama fan and i was very familiar with his tape.

His explosive game acceleration is otherworldly.
Nfl average is 10.8mph on outside runs 8.8mph between the tackles.so roughly 9.8 average,
Gibbs is pushing 11.4mph at the line! Like LB dont have a chance.
Thats like in baseball, every pitcher throwing 90mph. Then one throwing 105mph. Your brain isnt ready for that kind of speed change.
