A reminder that the league pays their salaries. It’s not like they’re shying away from talking about all of this. And since it’s the league’s most watched show, they clearly haven’t been told not to talk about it.
My bet is the league doesn’t renew Brad Allen’s contract at the end of the year and he disappears into the ether.
The other possibility, and I believe it’s happened before, is that he gets demoted from referee down to one of the lower ranking officials.
