I was mowing my grandfather’s yard, many moons ago, and, hit a log meant to keep the dog from going under the fence. Yellow Jackets had a nest in it. My grandma counted over 50 stings!
I’d rather be hit by a Bald Face than swarmed by Yellow Jackets.
During Covid I got stung on the eyebrow by a wasp that fell on my face while I let the dogs out. The little bitch was starting a nest on the top of the outside door frame. It happened something like 30 minutes before a Zoom meeting.
I did the meeting in pirate mode and as soon as I logged off that wasp got introduced to chemical warfare. Science, bitch!

Yeah I no longer care if I get stung. They all must die. I have been stung more times than I can count. They are useless little cunts and need to be eliminated at any and all costs.
As a child they haunted or hunted me daily. Then at some point the worm turned inside of me and instead of fear I found rage. Were I used to run I now look to see where it came from and look to eliminate its whole family from this earth.
I am sure they provide some positive thing to the circle of life and such. But all I know is they are useless to me.
Not to entirely derail the topic, but the worst animal on this planet is the fire ant. At least wasps and hornets act as pollinators. Fire ants just suck, and should be removed from the planet whenever possible.
When I was maybe 10, I had a dream of making a machine that was going to live in my backyard and would pump some sort of wasp-killing chemical into the atmosphere. That chemical that only and specifically killed wasps would eventually spread around the entire planet and make wasps extinct. Then I’d never see another wasp again.
I now understand why that is scientifically impossible, but I still have that dream. This world would be a better place without wasps in it.
