Holy ■■■■ dude. That’s nasty. Those ■■■■■■■ can ruin any outdoor event fast.
I love being outdoors as much as possible in the summer but mosquitos drive me insane. I think I’d rather run into Bigfoot than be lost in the middle of 1500 mosquitos in the forrest.
Quick death over a slow and painful death every time.
I got bug net jackets for the wifey and I this year. They work, but, they’re not as well ventilated as you might expect. I wore one for about 15 minutes on a humid 90°f day. I thought I was going to stroke out.
As I have mentioned before I love disc golf, but can barely play for about a 6 week stretch due to those nasty bastards. Spring and fall is glorious for outdoor hiking, golf, you name it. Just wish spring and fall were longer.
That’s awesome brother. Only about 2.5 hours away from me. I took a few family trips down that way as a youngster. The UP is gorgeous this time of year.
When I was like 13 I came off a trampoline directly onto a bald faced hornet in bare feet. I immediately thought I stepped down onto a nail that went like 2 inches into my foot. I was surprised when I saw a squished hornet on the ground. That shit was intense pain for like 15-20 min straight. Like my foot was on fire with acid in the wound.
I get stung all the time. I actually enjoy the pain. Early August got stung 7 times had grounds bee nest. Being a mental idiot cut the grass again and yeah it happened again . But only twice this time
