Haven’t seen this referenced yet. Per my own research, the record for consecutive completions is 25. In addition to the 18 he had against the Seahawks, Goff finished the Cardinal game with 1.
So it looks like if he could manage to start 7/7 against the Cowboys, he would set another new NFL record in addition to the one he just bagged for single game completions. 6/6 would get him a tie for it.
Please correct me if I’m wrong. Slap me if the rest of you already knew this but didn’t want to jinx him by mentioning it.
I am going to slap you. However, I am an honest and fair man.
I didn’t know that either.

Goff stinks…
His next pass will be an interception. In fact, his next 3 passes will be.
can you really count completions across games?
I remember Rodgers tied the NCAA record of like 23 straight at Cal. Goff has had a bunch of like 15s in a row but it doesn’t last the whole game.
My view on it is if they can count “no INT” over consecutive games, they can count “no incompletions” over games. Seems fair.
Listen, for all the effing ways people have counted our ineptitude across games, seasons and decades, you’re bloody well right we’re counting this across games.
Who has Lions record for most consecutive completions in a single game?
I found this on a Wikipedia list of NFL records, AND there’s a bonus!
First - yes the record of 25 consecutive completions was set across two games by Tannehill.
Bonus (I wasn’t even looking for this) - * Most pass completions, regulation game, regular season: 45, Jared Goff, Sep 29, 2019.
Interesting thing I saw….
Goff’s QB coach once held the NFL record for most consecutive completions to start a game.
