Goff has to have a hand injury, right?

More ducks than normal. But the amount of short throws that were several yards short was way out of character

He took a lot of hits. I would not be surprised.

Nah……he’s fine, just an off night!

He’s human

Off night. Human. I get those. But these throws looked like a physical issue.

A couple of the ints weren’t his fault… But he was feeling that pass rush of the Texans

Goff played his worst game as a lion and we still won. Enjoy this team. They’re special.

Absolutely not his best game. However, the stats appear worse than actual performance. A few things…

  1. Dont throw 50/50 balls to Williams. Dude brings a lot but he isn’t that guy. As fun as Williams is, still aspects of his game to be desired.

  2. Biggest Ben Homer there is. But he was bad tonight and at times really bad. Glenn and the D saved his ass. Never thought I’d type that.

  3. Would like to see ARSB incorporated a bit more at times this this year.

Again, Goff had a off night, absolutely. But after tonight this feels like a team of destiny.

Everyone. I’m not blaming the INTs or his off night.

All of my concerns were on throws that weren’t picked off. He had a lot of wobblers and dirt balls

A few of the dirt balls looked intentional. Had pressure on him in the pocket. And just turfed it.

I saw what you saw. He had a few ducks. I certainly think he has a hand injury. He could not throw a tight spiral at all. Even if he didn’t throw any INTs I would’ve said the same thing.

I thought he made some really tough catches today.

Was just going to say the same thing. Jamo absolutely bailed Goff out a couple times.

He did! But his abilities in traffic are far from impressive. Two things can be true at once.

  1. Williams is an asset to be accounted for.

  2. He’s rather one dimensional, who still doesn’t have a lot of nuance to his game.

If Williams was a complete player we’d be talking about a 1,600 yards a season reciever. Right now at this this time “TODAY” he’s an 800 yards to 1,000 guy. Again, an valuable asset. But Goff and the Lions would be wise to use Williams as he is at this moment in time and not using him as something he isnt.

That’s a good take on Jamo. Still looks a little raw sometimes. Sure is fast though.

He had 3 catches for 53 yards on 5 targets.

The other 2 targets he litteraly was making a play on the ball as he was moving away from the ball. I blame Goff for putting Jamo in that position to begin with. However, if that were guys like Puka or AJ Brown or whoever with tremendous ball attacking skills. Those are possible completions as opposed to apparent “bad” passes.

think his first ball of the game came out looking kind of funny right into the ground

I think Dan said Jamo ran to the wrong spot… maybe I misheard.

Jamo was absolutely in no mans land on the last target. Not looking for the ball nor no where near it. Your casual fan will see a ball not close to the reciever. But if you watch the play Jamo wasn’t running a precise route nor was he attempting to play the ball.

Which is why I’m saying unless Jamo has a clear path to make a play, Goff shouldnt be trusting him with tough catches.

I agree about Ben.

No deep in routes, no hot reads and really only 1 screen ea h to DMo and Gibbs. No back shoulder routes

Lots of short by 4 yards of line to gain stuff. Lots of low % deep stuff.

Weird.

It took a minute for the oline to gel. Goff didn’t get rattled. He got hit. A lot.
I said it at the half, “chill, we’re built for this”.
This team is going to find a way to win. Tonight, it was that big leg of Jake Bates. We’ve found our next Jason Hanson.
It just doesn’t matter. “Knock us down and we’re going to get back up and we’re going to take another piece out of you.”
I can’t wait to see Z out there. Poor Jacksonville.
Any given Sunday, but, Z can’t wait. He’s chomping at the bit. Jacksonville should probably let Lawrence heal completely.
