I miss having a guy like “big play Slay” I want a corner that can cover defenders like glue, get INT’s, or deflect footballs away from waiting receivers without getting penalties—I’m not sure we have that .

We dont. Reed has 8 in 122 games
Arnold has 1 in 24 games
Rake has zero in 8 games
Roger 3 in 61 games
So lions CBs have 12 in 215 games.

Also, we play a lot of man to man. From what I understand, zone schemes lead to more interceptions as they better allow the CB to be faced forward and play the ball. Ours creates better blankets and then the Safeties have a greater responsibility for creating turnovers. There are drawbacks to Zone as well but something to consider.

The most shocking stat for me was that Rakestraw has 8 games. I had no idea it was even that many.
