I think Sorsdal played well against the Raiders when he started at RG. He was terrible when had played at LG in fact was pulled from the game for Awosika. I think Sorsdal has a future as a starting RG and our LG next year will be Barton or Beebe.
Thatās a huge reason I hope they draft Sewellās cousin Kingsley. Heās a great athlete and has the ability to play tackle or guard. He would also offer a potential replacement if they choose not to resign decker.
I think he could legit win the RG job in camp, and I also think he could have a future at C. Heās got the brains for it which for me is test #1. His gift for recognizing stunts and blitzes is almost preternatural.
O-line snap counts for 2023:
| Snaps | % | Games | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Penei Sewell | T | 1,379 | 100.0% | 20 |
| Graham Glasgow | G | 1,262 | 91.5% | 19 |
| Taylor Decker | T | 1,243 | 90.1% | 18 |
| Frank Ragnow | C | 1,190 | 86.3% | 18 |
| Jonah Jackson | G | 881 | 63.9% | 14 |
| Kayode Awosika | G | 370 | 26.8% | 7 |
| Colby Sorsdal | T/G | 253 | 18.3% | 5 |
| Halapoulivaati Vaitai | G | 192 | 13.9% | 3 |
| Dan Skipper | T | 112 | 8.1% | 14 |
| Matt Nelson | T | 85 | 6.2% | 3 |
Both Yode and Colby got a good amount of snaps for developing players. Itās possible that one of them might be the Jackson replacement, last year after Witherspoon was gone Brad didnāt pick a CB to fill the hole, he may just do the same thing this year with guard. I think itās a low probability, but there is still a chance that thatās how things pan out.
Listen, I love Brad, but if this probably isnāt the best thing to highlight to make anyone feel confident about not getting a guard considering the disaster that our CBs were last year. ![]()
High chance for repeat if we start Awosika next season. Nice development player but no starter at the moment. But Iām sure I read an interview with Brad which he mentioned the importance of the OLine few weeks ago so there will be additions for sure.
As of now, especially with how good this OL class is, Iād expect the answer to come in the draft. But would feel most comfortable if they could at least land an average level starter just in case their guy doesnāt make it to them. If they do get their guy, they have much improved depth. If they donāt, they have an average starter.
