Just wanted to have a moment of silence for his water tight seal……. Guess he won’t ever be converting to Tight end in the future

What the?
You people.
I’m in tears over here.
Colin Herd this morning, “if you think Goff is the problem, you’re not watching the games”.
I have yet to see ANYONE call JG a problem since we’ve been 6-1. Prior to the 6-1 streak, Colin thought Lions #1 need was a QB.
There were also fans saying Goff is nothing more than a backup
Crazy. How many losing seasons has Goff had?
Don’t hear his Super Model Wife Complaining about Goff’s “delivery” -shrug*
Geofs erection fraction is all time low now
2, one his rookie year 0-7 'and last year 3-13. His 2nd and 3rd year he was 24-7
That is almost enough to make me question my long-standing pro-Goff stance.
Good question and I can’t say with 100% certainty.
Physically he should be peaking now so unless he reduced his workout routine, the only other known variable is his thumb surgery.
Seems like he can still chuck it long just fine and zip it into tight windows close. Looks effortless and I never see pain when he throws.
The ball does seem to wobble more now than it did before his thumb surgery. Wondering if his grip was altered slightly but hasn’t affected his accuracy.
On that deep throw to Jamo against the jets, he was moving around and throwing on the run and couldn’t step into it fully. He’s definitely thrown longer this season. If that is the throw that makes you question his velocity, it shouldn’t be that singular throw. He can throw much farther.
Exactly!
Some folks around here freak out at the hint of the word “elite” in reference to Goff. I would point out that the media was calling him “elite” 4 years before I gave a damn!
I don’t know, and, I don’t give a rats ass what happened between Goff and McVay.
I’m not calling him “elite”, but, he is a very capable QB. That much should be obvious to even the most stubborn hater.
146?!
With his NON-dominant arm, maybe.
Crazy. How many losing seasons has Goff had?
As a pro, two.
His first year w/the Rams, when he played the last 7 games.
And last year w/Detroit.
With his NON-dominant arm, maybe.
I suspect he holds back as to not injure the normal humans.
I’m actually a little bit surprised that Goff had more throwing velocity then all of those other quarterbacks. I knew he has a good arm and in 2017 and 18 was one of the leaders in deep ball accuracy. But I didn’t know it was that strong.
Hopefully, as this offense evolves and he gets chemistry with Williams it bears more and more fruit
Never gotten the entire narrative that Goff cannot throw the deep ball. It’s like a bad rumor that won’t go away. His history says otherwise. Obviously he did not throw deep much last year but he was working with a Taco Bell late night crew. It’s like McVay is a football God and because he said it then it is true and some people (kyle Meineke is the worst) just simply are too lazy to do the research to see otherwise. He is not perfect but he is very good. I can live with that.

Spot on. It’s like evidence didn’t really matter. People just believe what they want to believe. McVey didn’t magically make those long throws happen in 2017 and 2018 with his Harry Potter wand.
2019 their Oline sucked. 2020 McVey and Goff were on the outs
