Been looking up and researching my ancestry and found out my peeps came over in 1635 (brothers) and were pretty influential here, helping found a town and his brother founded a church that still stands. Wife is excited, we’ve never been that far east before. I wouldn’t mind heading over to england to see where my surname originated but that’s an expensive trip. But I was able to track us back to the 1050s, frenchmen who had come to england, given knight’s fees and responsible for castle guards. Pretty neat!
