The Lions are every non-Lion fan’s 2nd favorite team.
Everyone that ive talked to over the last year i say im a lions fan and they all say that they are rooting for the lions.
I mean I like the sentiment.
But I honestly would rather they all just keep their distance. If you are not all in then beat it. Because they will leave just as fast as they showed up.
That’s great for now and all, but here pretty quick I want to be hated.
In sports, you’re only great when you’re hated.
Agreed, just enjoying the ride until we get there though.
Love being America’s Team now
I like that we’re such a TV draw for sure. The league loves us, and that’s important. Less getting screwed over.
To this point in time, that is true.
But should the Lions win a couple Super Bowls, the nation will experience an epic case of cognitive dissonance if they try to hate. How can any sentient being muster hate when Dan Campbell is involved? That’s just not possible.
Agreed. I’m not a fan of everyone giving us a pat on the head, it’s not respect, they’re doing that because they don’t fear us.
Hopefully in a couple years people will see us like we used to see the Packers, and we can revel in their misery.
He will keep us on the more beloved end of things, but I suspect the Packers, Bears and Vikings won’t have any issues conjuring a little hate from deep within for our wonderful boss. It might be the envious type, but hate is hate.
I think they are generally rooting hard for us
I know all the Giants, Eagles, KC, Miami fans where’s I’m at are

Good point. But I don’t think of Packers, Bears and Viking fans as sentient beings. Dan Campbell will be a test case for them.

That is a very good point. They’re more like parrots acting human as a parlor trick.

If we get the zebras on our side… Multiple super bowls coming.
2nd favorite team. Until we beat their #1 favorites.
This is so much better than being laughed at when you tell someone you are a Lions fan.
It’s one thing for most of the media and hosts around the league to praise our team in the offseason and our opponents fans also complimenting The Lions to, but THIS team has to go out and make one hell of a show here in 2024–because IF we don’t , we can easily become the punchline for jokes all over again–and all our smack, all our hopes, all the positivity this offseason and this season just becomes steaming horse
