Hendon Hooker vs. Will Levis

I think Richardson is bad but coming out might be his best move. You can go back to college like Spencer Rattler and remove all doubt that you’re bad. Same goes for DJ U. Something to consider for both of them.

He’s on fire this year but he still has moments of total brain loss that worry me. It’s positively Wentzian sometimes. Like this one:

Thanks for sharing. Attempt at a reverse pass. Never seen anyone try that before ever. Gritty.

Thinking future with our beans, Lions will eek out a few more wins, while seeing the LAR continue to flounder. Our pick just may be, say #7 & #13. The seventh won’t get you Young of Stroud (thank god) and thirteenth is way to early for Hooker or Levis.

With that being said, I didn’t really answer your question, lol. If this plays out, then I’m for straight defense with our first few picks…while hoping Goff doesn’t implode, for another year.

Kyler Murray was close, and it was a touchdown!

Its not quite the same thing but this old Randy Moss play was dope!

I’m liking Ringo. I know he has a few technique things to work on but the size and athleticism and he plays really physical like Okudah and Kerby. We could have the new legion of boom. And we need at least 1 more good corner. Maybe Jahmyr Gibbs with the 2nd first rounder. I don’t think he’s got everything, but he has game breaker which we need when Swift is out. I wish I liked the DTs better but none of them do anything for me.

Tuli Tuipulotu watch him rise

I’ll take a look.

I think Ringo is gonna get beat up pretty bad by quickness. He’s a fast, linear athlete with average (or even poor) change of direction skills. Gimme Porter, Cam Smith, Forbes and Phillips over him personally. And that’s the beauty of this class, there’s so much CB talent.

I think Jalen Carter is a game changer at 3 tech. I would love to line him up with Hutch.

Carter and Bresee would look great on our line, Dexter has a lot of physical things going for him if they can be coached up, as @Tcmouse said Tuli’s a guy worth looking into a little later than those guys, and my favorite mid-round guy is Colby Wooden, though I expect him to rise come draft day.

I remember that one by Kyler Murray. The crazy thing about Bo Nix though is he wasn’t getting tackled. It looked hopeless, but he threw that pass without anyone touching him.

Not ideal but sh!t happens. The issue is not as much the occasional brain dead decisions (though they are definitely there and bothersome), it’s that he’a so damn streaky from an accuracy standpoint.

Aside from that play Bo Nix was 20/23. And it’s not all gimmicky screen crap. Dillingham asks him to push balls down the field and he’s shown some top notch down the field accuracy.

I readily admit that he’s hard to trust. I’m not necessarily a proponent of drafting Nix but I do prefer him to Hooker.

Yeah I can agree with that. I’m not a huge fan of either guy but I have Nix over Hooker too. Really for me after Young there’s no QB I’d draft with the idea that they may ever be a starter. There’s plenty of guys I’d draft as backups, this is a great draft for backup QBs, and maybe one of them surprises and becomes a starter. But I wouldn’t start doing that until the 4th round or so.

That’s the thing with Goff that I’ve been saying, he’s good enough if a guy isn’t there you love you can wait. We’re not desperate at the position but we’re not set there either. Imo

Exactly you can’t draft a QB if there’s no QB to draft. You can’t force them to be good.

nailed it the league GIF by hero0fwar

If Bo Nix is in there in the 5th, you can talk me into taking him just for that reverse pass.

This is from a Clemson football forum…

Yeah he hasn’t been great so far but 1) he missed all of last year with a torn ACL, it usually takes more than a year to get back up to full speed, and 2) the tragic death of his kid sister right before the season has effected his play. If you go back and look at his freshman tape, there’s a guy that could dominate in the league. Generally you’d like for him to keep it up, but if they don’t keep it up you look for mitigating circumstances, and he’s got plenty.

It’s like if Hutch had come out in 2021 rather than 2022 he would have gone late first. He was coming off an injured year, didn’t play as well, etc, etc… Then he got healthy and dominated. I think the same could happen with Bresee. If he declares getting him at 12 would be a major discount.
