“I think he’s going to blow those players away just from a knowledge standpoint, from a connection standpoint,” Johnson said. “I fully expect that offense to be clicking at a high level next year. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit, and I think there’s a reason why Dan (Campbell), from what I could gather, cast a wide net for the offensive coordinator job and Drew hit the right notes in terms of what he was looking for.”
“I could see this being a great fit knowing Dan and knowing Drew both. I think it’s probably a match made in heaven,” Johnson said.
It would have been more interesting if BJ pushed the nuclear button like he did with Matt LeFluer and Green Bay at his first presser as Da Bears coach. But he knows the whooping he’s getting in 2026 when everything doesn’t align every time.
I don’t hate Ben at all. He’s human just like all the rest of us. He got a truck load of money, way better city, he gets the JA-RED GOFF type treatment there because he took them from the cellar to 1st in the NFCN.
What’s not like to? He went to the Bears, sure. But it was a smart move - obviously.
In a way, his endorsement is kind of a backhanded way of saying that Johnny Morton sucked d–k! To see something clicking at a high level NEXT year means that it was sucking d–k last year Just saying.
Otoh, BJ is a competitive SOB. So I can see him saying whatever then getting back to work to try and own the division.
