My GPA lost the ability to have erection after his hernia surgery at age 55… No joke :grimacing: But they mostly are no big deal, he just had bad luck (bad doctor)… Best of luck, expect soreness for a few weeks

I’ve had multiple and the only thing I would worry about is breaking one off too soon after. Doc told me 6 weeks on my first one and I waited about 4. Worst pain of my life and was back having a repair shortly after :joy:

Give it at least 6 weeks. Nothing worse than expecting the best and getting the worst  also go laughed at by my gf at the time for being so fast haha

GL brother!

I had an umbilical hernia repair.
Have 3 more to get fixed.

I never really hurt after mine. My surgeon was brilliant. I heard horror stories of how painful it is supposed to be, and the pain just never came.

Literally went to cvs to get my own meds and out to dinner the evening after the operation.

Sending love to you, bro. Hope you have a similar experience.

I never knew that story until he was well into his dementia… He was in the ER for his heart one day and decided he needed to tell his ER doctor about how he should’ve sued his hernia surgeon for cutting through some nerves causing impotence… Ohhhhh grandpa :man_facepalming: then I felt bad for him AND grandma lol

Just have faith, my man. You are in a facility full of inventions created to fix human vessels. You are surrounded by ppl that have a combined hundred + years of education to learn to care for you. God loves you.

…with that presence, this all becomes much easier.

One of the funniest stories I remember from my Grandpa, he was in the hospital for a previously unknown heart issue. My Grandpa was the definition of an old school, ultra conservative Southern Baptist. You did not talk about things that were not appropriate, he was all strict all the time, you know the type. While they were still in the diagnostic phase, one of the medicines they talked about giving him, a side effect was he would be unable to get an erection. With me, my Mom, my Grandma and him in the room. My Grandpa looks right at the nurse and says “Kill me now, I’d rather die.” My Grandma goes beat red, my Mom is shocked and I can’t stop laughing. I told myself I want to be just like him at his age, and I will be. He ended up fine, they figured out what was wrong and no mediciation was needed.
