In Brad we trust
I remember when Dak wanting $40M APY was absolutely crazy
The lesson (and thankfully one it looks like our FO learned long ago): always pay your guys early.
Honestly, I’d struggle to give Dak 50mil AAV. Dallas is going to be very mediocre for a long time
Rock and a hard place. When you find a guy you can win with at that position, you almost have to pay him. And the agents know that, which is why the contract’s are ridiculous.
Yeah i always saw dak as a flashy qb who lacked in something essential… im not sure if what he is missing is in his head or in his heart. He has the tools.
Sometimes he looks amazing. Other times he folds…
Yikes. Talented player but has done precious little to deserve this payday.
This. Even Daniel Jones got paid a few years ago.
If Dak got 60, then a super elite QB like Goff should have got 70.

I can’t remember the last time a decent QB didn’t get paid. Maybe Cousins in Washington? But after franchising him for a few years they butchered that thing so bad he would have set league records. Unique circumstance.
Dak to Jerry and Stephen, “See you again in four years!”
Not surprised at all Prescott got this. I’m usually more surprised that teams that are pushed against the cap can continue to hand out contracts like this.
So Stroud is going to get like 65m per in two years?
We knew this would happen with Goff’s deal. At what point do the Herbert and Lamar types come back around and say, “wait a minute.”
First though, what does Purdy get next year? That one’s more interesting imo. Stroud is an easy guy to pay. They should do it the first day they can.
By gob you have to wonder what the initial ask was for until they arrived at this place. Jerrah finally goes all in, we’ll see if the bet pays off.
Parsons up next.
I think my main question is how long do the top 5 guys accept taking 25-30% less than QBs that are clearly inferior to them? That point in time is quickly approaching.
It seems pretty unique to the QB position, but that’s traditionally been the way it goes. The average guys just get paid so much more than anyone at any other position. There’s always been a few QBs who were much better than the rest, but for the most part they only led the league in salary right after they got paid, but were quickly surpassed.
Another overrated and under performing player given huge contract…No idea how how this league got here…crazy…
Goff and Dak were both top-5 QBs in some important numbers I was looking at last year. I have no issues with his pay. It’s a necessary, good move for Dallas. Today’s 60 is yesterday’s 30.
