Big horror fan myself.

Friday 13th

Hills have eyes 2006

Evil dead 1 and 2

Army of Darkness. I know more of a comedy

Dead alive

Thing

Screamers

Probably could name off a dozen more.

Anyone see weapons yet

Book envy? Is that a thing?

One nice thing about being laid up is that it allows me ample time for things like reading. It’s probably my favorite thing to do besides shooting the shit with you guys here at the den.

The Descent is a fun watch. Tight, dark caves and cool story line. The 2nd descent was pretty good also.

Jaws still enters my mind while jumping into Lake Michigan. The logical part of my brain knows there are no sharks there, but the primal part of my brain still fears some unseen shark just out of sight.

Poltergeist created fear of the snow on TV (something the younger folks here wouldn’t even get).

That is the true power of a movie to make you fear something in real life.

The Stand was a great book.

There’s supernatural involved so I would say this somewhat fits the title of the thread, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention The Green Mile as one hell of a great story. One of my top five movies of all time.

Also, I’d like to give a small shout out to Aliens the Predators. which I think gets overlooked. I thought it had a pretty good story for joining two franchise together and Sanaa Latham was a smoke show.

They probably aren’t considered true horror movies but I absolutely love both of the Zombie land movies.

The original Saw was badass. Forgot about that one.

No idea about the entity, I would imagine that’s a pretty ■■■■■■ up and miserable existence judging by its manners.

But the six of us around the board were all tripping. Long story but we were in the basement of a burned down school. Just shuddered thinking about it. Supernatural shit does that to me.

Yes, in my stupid youth I did Aunt Sid a couple of times (no @bols not that way) and the last time I had a real bad reaction. Never touched the stuff again. Gummies are about as far as I want to go these days.

Well, the acid wasn’t actually the frightening part. What went down that night was inexplicable. And I’m not much of a woowoo person.

I was just about to respond when I realized that it was horror and not whore. Then I read down and saw some posts about acid. Well, well well…crazy shit happens sometimes going down that road. I prefer peyote or mescaline myself, shrooms are a weak second. Acid, eh, sure back in the day but I would fast and go down the natural road one more time for the hell of it. Not recommended for first time players.

Well, there was some good acid going around at the time, but yeah the natural stuff is preferable.

Ayahuasca is on another level. I’m not sure I have another ceremony in me at this point. Maybe. Prolly not.

Top 5

The Exorcist

Aliens

The Thing

Paranormal Activity

Poltergeist

So many more though

Favorite one time horror movie was The Blair Witch Project. Lot of hype. Some buddies and I got some beers and a couple of joints before watching at an old movie theatre called The Mayan, south west side of Denver if I remember correctly. It was OK, but we had a great time at a cool old place.
