I’ve been a Houston fan since I was 7 (1967). I struggled through the Oilers for over 20 years and now the Texans. Detroit and Cleveland fans are the only ones who can empathize with the misery I’ve gone through. I’m not sure why these 3 teams are sh@#t on year after year. I record Texans games and only watch it if they win. I can’t handle the pain anymore. 55 years is long enough to only witness 2 AFC championship games (1979, 1980). I was really pulling for the Lions this year, but like the Texans, I knew somehow they would lose before they reached the Superbowl. People say “there’s always next year”. I’ve heard that since 1967. How do you all deal with it?
BTW - Jacksonville is not on this loser list because they are a newer franchise.
I get by with a good B team.
Mine is the Bills.

My B team is the Cardinals.
I know what you mean, I go as far back as watching the Lions lose 5-0 to Dallas in the 1970 playoffs. It hasn’t been easy.
But now Sheila Hamp Ford took over ownership and hired a competent front office.
The Lions are for real and its because it starts at the top.
Even Barry Sanders couldn’t undue years of futility due to poor upper management.
Ownership and coaching matters in this game so I am more optimistic than ever.
Hope your team is moving in the right direction. They have some good players.

All we needed was a decent QB. Eric Kramer won a playoff game with that team, and took them to the playoffs, twice, as a 3rd string QB, because Andre Ware was better!
The fans should have brought a class action suit against the Lions ownership/management. Total incompetence.

Thats hot
Difference is, next year is actually our year.
OP - CJ Stroud should make you happy

How do you all deal with it?
The craft beer scene in Michigan is pretty awesome.
Thats hot
@Davicus seems to know a lot about football for a pot smoking granny! Bols gonna be DMing you non-stop now. ![]()
I fish so I don’t choke people-calming my nerves and all…

I record Texans games and only watch it if they win. I can’t handle the pain anymore.
Alot of long time Lions fans became cynical to keep their sanity. Literally watching and laughing at the team. If the team wins, they are happy. If the team loses, there are some good chuckles to be had along the way.
I have reached a healthy relationship with the Lions. I am happy with wins and don’t feel any way towards losing. I’m used to the losing. Its second nature at this point. Its to be expected. So there is no reason to feel any type of way about it.
That gif cracks me up… But seriously how the ■■■■ does that go down?
was he blindfolded? Licking toads 20 mins prior? AI created? I gotta know that back story. Lol
Eric Kramer won a playoff game with that team,
Eric Kramer looks like Bill Laimbeir too!
