I already dreaded watching the team this year because they were so boring to watch. TM made me fear the worst with the 1-3-1 system he typically uses. Its right up there with Islanders hockey with how bad it is to watch from an entertainment standpoint.
Well, he definitely got them going … at first. I think the new coach bump may be wearing off a bit though.
What are your thoughts on the switch so far? My general thought is that if he deploys Seider even 10% better than Lalonde did, its a net positive. Though I don’t think he’s going to be the long term answer.
I’d have gone with Gallant, personally. And that has nothing to do with him playing in Detroit previously.
